Bowie by Mick Rock featured 65 of Rock’s photographs shot between 1972–'73, when David Bowie was redefining glam rock as the androgynous alien rock star Ziggy Stardust. Mick Rock was the musician’s official photographer for this incredible period of transformation and iconic performance.
The creative involved both Curatorial and Marketing teams to work in close collaboration with Mick Rock to select representative photography for the gallery-like exhibition and promotional collateral. In addition to art direction and design of all print and digital marketing creative, I was also responsible for design of the exhibit entrance graphics and a massive wall mural spanning two levels of the museum leading up to the gallery.
