UNDERSTORY
AT AMAZON SPHERES

Studio Matthews / 2018

Understory at Amazon Spheres is a fully immersive exhibit space that’s free and open to public to explain the science, engineering, and plants that make up the groundbreaking Spheres at Amazon Headquarters.

I was brought on to the project by Studio Matthews to execute design and assist production coordination of all surface graphics applied to various material substrates, including painted/varnished wood, powder-coated steel, glass, and corrugated cardboard. In addition, I also designed the hands-on interactives featured throughout the exhibit space, such as a city planning interactive, a “lightbox” showing the lighting programming within the Spheres, a spinning world globe that defines the native locations of plants selected for the Spheres, and printed Amazon shipping boxes featuring selected civic programs that Amazon leads locally.
