The Founders Award is EMP Museum’s annual fundraising gala supporting youth education and outreach programs. In my first year at the museum, I was entrusted with the creative direction and design of the event honoring legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy.
Inspired by the artist’s iconic polka-dot guitar, I developed a cohesive event identity that extended across invitations, environmental graphics, auction screens, and event signage, creating a unified experience that connected the honoree, the event, and the museum’s mission.
The project established a more integrated approach to event communications and became the first major professional recognition of my career, earning a Gold ADDY from the American Advertising Awards Seattle.
