Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, this world-premiere exhibition at EMP Museum featured more than 100 artifacts, costumes, props, and set pieces spanning the franchise’s television series, films, and cultural legacy.
Working closely with franchise and museum stakeholders, I developed a campaign identity capable of unifying five decades of Star Trek storytelling into a single visual system. The approach centered on the iconic Starfleet delta insignia, using it as both a recognizable brand element and a framing device through which visitors could explore the characters, worlds, and narratives that have defined the franchise.
The campaign employed a dual creative strategy that paired character-driven portraits with episodic key art, allowing the marketing program to highlight both the people and stories at the heart of Star Trek. A bold color palette inspired by uniforms and artifacts from across the franchise created visual continuity across advertising, event graphics, outdoor media, vehicle wraps, and promotional materials. The result was a flexible campaign system that balanced franchise authenticity with the needs of a major museum exhibition, creating a cohesive presence across a wide range of audience touchpoints.
